Oh this was such a special session! I always talk about how much I enjoy capturing memories for friends and family, and this one meant so much to me. Hayli and I have known each other since kindergarten and have walked through many stages of life together. We’ve basically grown up with each other since elementary school – I would get dropped off at her house every morning for carpool, we danced competitively together for years (hello 100 different costumes between us!), and spent many sleepovers together at each other’s houses. Hayli’s dad even pulled my first tooth! The Whitts have been an extension of my own family for many years – we’ve celebrated holidays together (cue Turkey Trot tradition), gone on trips together (Red River every January), mourned losses together, and celebrated each of life’s milestones together.
I can very distinctly remember when Hayli and Jon started dating. Jon and I had 11th grade English class together – I turned to him and said, “Hey, you’re dating my best friend!” And they’ve been inseparable ever since. Are they not the cutest high school sweethearts ever?! In 2016, I had the honor of standing next to Hayli and she married Jon (I’m pretty sure I cried just as hard as she did that day) and next spring, Hayli will stand next to me. Through all of our life stages, I have to say this is the sweetest one yet! Watching Hayli become a mama is such blessing to witness (she is born to be a mother) and being able to document this special time for them is such an honor. I cannot wait to meet sweet baby Owen in just a few weeks!
Congratulations, Hayli and Jon! Sending prayers and good thoughts for a smooth delivery. Come on baby boy, we all can’t wait to meet you!
Love this. James’s so proud to make it on your blog. Beautiful photos, your the best!
