Makena and Matthew’s golden hour engagement session at White Rock Lake was so much fun! We spent the majority of our session talking (and laughing!) which always makes for the BEST sessions! 🙂 To top it off, we had the most beautiful golden hour light, which is my absolute favorite. Thankfully the lake wasn’t too crowded and we were able to utilize the dock at Boy Scout Hill for their second outfit! Sometimes I forget I’m still in Dallas when I’m shooting here – it’s SO beautiful with all of the sailboats on the water. I absolutely love how their sneak peeks turned out and I’m so excited to share!

I first met Makena and Matthew for coffee a few months back. Within the first few minutes of chatting with them, I knew they would be such a fun couple to work with! Of course our engagement session was proof of that 🙂 These two are absolutely adorable together and so fun to be around!

Matthew is originally from Colorado and a HUGE Denver Broncos fan. He even proposed to Makena on a trip to Colorado this past spring! They opted to incorporate his love for the Broncos at the end – scroll down to see their adorable jerseys! I love when my couples incorporate something personal into their session – they make each session so unique. 🙂 All around, this was one for the books!

Makena and Matthew are getting married next year at the beautiful Hidden Creek venue in Heath. Congratulations, you two! I cannot wait to celebrate you both next summer!
